food... Hot dogs, chips... etc.
Jeff is going to be in charge of sign in
and raffle tickets
2 awards Pilots choice best warbird and people's
choice best warbird. Jeff will get the plaques.
Planes must fly at
least once to be eligible.

Bob contacted parks and rec. Trying to make sure Waymer will stay
open with all of the cuts being made to the budget for parks and recs.
Waymer gate lock was Vandalized.
Pylon race was canceled
Talks began about our annual fly-in at waymer for the fall
Informed that Guy is out of the hospital after having a heart attack
Informed Larry was waiting for another review in 2 weeks in order to
be moved

Minutes for the meeting today.
Arrangements were made to move the pilots stations, benches and club items
back to the speedway tomorrow at 10AM. If anyone can help meet at the speedway
at 10am.
Bob Bauer talked about the Waymer field and parks and rec with the
possibility that there will be cuts in services there. He is investigating.
Tom Moore was voted in to serve as president for the rest of Larry's term.
Tom was also voted to replace Larry on the WACAMA board. Thanks Tom. Larry will
remain as the club secretary.
Volunteers were requested to help move Larry's personal item from his
apartment to a new home. This is being coordinated by Jim and will happen on
June 17th. Any others that would like to help please contact Jim.
There is a Pylon race scheduled for July 24th. Volunteers are needed and
should contact Tom Boyd.

Please come out to the speedway tomorrow, Sunday at 10am to help move the
club stuff if you can. Be prompt as we are meeting there and then going to Jims
to get the stuff.

Meeting Minutes 3-4-10
Dear member, at the meeting last night we discussed a few new things.
Fly-in Food will be Bob with Tina's help, they need a grill and
tables.
Jim will C.D. if Larry can't.
The vote to repeal the requirement for a Waymer pass failed 11 to 13,
all FAPA members must maintain a Waymer pass.
Larry's condition was talked about. He still is in room 340 at Presbyterian
but expects to be moved soon to rehab at Mercy Main. His cell is
727-808-9530 .
Indoor fly-in, Matt has obtained permission to have a fly-in in the gym of a
middle school next to him, We need someone to be the monitor.
It will cost $5 to fly and the monitor will be free. First fly-in scheduled for
April 13th
There was a complaint about people starting engines under the shelter at
Waymer, all persons are responsible for safety, if you see some
one doing something against the WACAMA, County, AMA, or club rules ask them to
stop.
Tina is selling fuel at a discount. Currently she does not have enough people
wanting fuel for her to get a discount.
The next meeting will be held noon, April 3rd at Waymer.

Annual Spring Fling Fly-in
Decided to do a standard hot dog boil instead of a pot luck style lunch.
Have to check on field because there was some damage due to the snow and
traspassers doing doughnuts on our
runway.
Waymer
The lock system is completely implemented. Pictures on on
the web-site showing how they should be locked. The entrance sign is still not
finished.
Lowes The
speedway is now called Charlotte Motor Speedway and is no longer called Lowe’s
The plaques were displayed that are going to be
presented to Bob and Humpy.
A motion was set to take a vote on a bi-law
change. E-mails are being sent out to all members.

After the meeting Fred Connell gave a
demonstration on foam cutting. Even though we could not do any actual cutting at
the meeting he gave a great demonstration on techniques.
The plane of the month was a 4star 60 built by

Annual Spring Fling Fly-in:
the date will be April 24th @ Lowes.
9 am Pilots meeting.
Landing fee of $10.
A Pot Luck lunch is planned @ $5.
$250.00 was approved for raffle prizes, Evan D. will coordinate the prize
procurment.
Waymer:
The final contract with the county was signed.
Bob B. went over the lock system and policy.
The details of the entrance sign were discussed.
1st Saturday of each month from 12-2 will be for new flyers
and non AMA .
Tried to come up with questions to ask of novice flyers. These will be
developed and posted at the field.
Lowes:
The contract has been approved and is indefinite. Lowes allows FAPA
exclusive use.
Lifetime memberships to the club are now
available @ $500.00
Humpy Wheeler
was voted to get an honorary lifetime membership for his contributions to the
club.
Plaques of appreciation were approved for Humpy
Wheeler and Bob Covington.
A motion was passed to look into a Solar Power
Charging Station for Waymer.

Dave G. discussed Pylon Racing for this summer. The
racing will be primarily at the old Jillian Airport.
Meeting was closed by Larry Moore.
After the meeting Jeff Blanken brought in his
4Star 60 the is being kit built and Evan Doughty gave a demonstration on
Monokote covering. 14 members stayed for the Hour after the meeting to watch and
comment on the demonstration.
After next months meeting Fred Connell will be
giving a demonstration on Foam Cutting a wing.
